AGP Group appoints Nicholas O’Kane as Co-CEO alongside founding partner & Co-CEO Ben Salmon

4 September 2026, Singapore: Global real asset investor and manager, AGP Group (“AGP”), has announced the appointment of Nicholas O’Kane as Partner and Co-Chief Executive Officer, alongside the existing Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer Ben Salmon.

Mr. O’Kane brings three decades of experience leading global energy and commodities businesses across international markets. His appointment commences in late September 2026 and he will be based in Singapore.

AGP is a real assets investor focussed on the intersection of digital and energy infrastructure. Together with Founding Partner and Co-CEO Ben Salmon, Mr. O’Kane’s appointment broadens the Group’s executive leadership with complementary experience across the real estate, digital and energy sectors, strategically positioning the Group to provide sustainable energy and digital infrastructure solutions to meet the global digital transition.

AGP operates in Australia, India, Japan, Europe, and the United States and has over 11.8 GW of clean energy capacity secured and over 3.1 GW of data centre capacity secured. Since its inception in 2018, AGP has invested in and built platforms across the real estate, digital and energy sectors, including AMPYR and Zerra DC, combining an entrepreneurial mindset, deep development expertise and institutional rigour.

Mr. O’Kane joins AGP following senior executive roles at two of the world’s leading energy and commodities organisations. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Gas and Power at Mercuria Energy Group. Prior to Mercuria, he spent nearly 30 years at Macquarie Group, including as Global Head of Commodities and Global Markets.

AGP Co-CEO Ben Salmon said the appointment reflects the Group’s portfolio long-term growth ambitions.

“The rapid growth of digital technologies, AI, energy demand and urban development is reshaping economies and creating unprecedented demand for the infrastructure that underpins future growth,” Mr. Salmon said.

“We are in a unique position to support the global transition to digital infrastructure through our expertise and platforms across energy, digital and real estate.

“Attracting a leader of Nick’s calibre will further strengthen our capabilities across energy, infrastructure and institutional capital partnerships, complementing the experience of our existing leadership team. Nick brings global relationships and a proven track record of building and scaling market-leading businesses, and it’s great to have him coming on-board.”

Mr. O’Kane said AGP’s position at the intersection of infrastructure and the digital economy, together with its existing global footprint, presented a compelling opportunity.

“The global economy is increasingly dependent on the successful integration of energy, digital infrastructure and land, particularly as demand for data centres, power and related infrastructure accelerates,” Mr. O’Kane said.

“AGP has assembled a unique portfolio of opportunities across these sectors and has demonstrated an ability to identify and develop high-quality platforms in markets where capital, energy availability and infrastructure expertise are critical.

“I am excited to join the AGP team and work alongside Ben and the broader leadership group to support the company’s next stage of growth and value creation.”
